YOU CAN'T FIGHT CITY HALL/PSYCHOACTIVE

This is complicated. According to John Reen Davis, former vocalist for Anarchitex, this was originally released with Anarchitex (YOU CAN'T FIGHT CITY HALL) on one side and Pain Teens (PSYCHOACTIVE) on the other. It was the first Pain Teens release and probably came out in 1986. The same cassette was later released with the bands reversed, and Anomie apparently released a version of PSYCHOACTIVE with additional Pain Teens material in place of the Anarchitex side. Regarding Anarchitex, Scott Ayers was the bass player (!!!) and produced the entire cassette at his own expense. The Anarchitex guitarist Torry Mercer was responsible for bestowing the Pain Teens with their intriguing name; vocalist John Reen Davis was the first person to actually be whipped at a Pain Teens live show. In addition, one of the Anarchitex songs on this tape is "Born in Blood," which was later used as the title for a Pain Teens release. [Mondo thanks to John Reen Davis for all the boss info.]
