ANGEL'IN HEAVY SYRUP (IV)

US EDITION
JAPAN EDITION

The fourth album was released simultaneously in the fall of 1999 by Alchemy Records in Japan and Monotremata Records in the US. Aside from the front booklet covers and the use of different band photos on the back tray, the artwork is essentially identical. (The band photo used on the back of the Japanese edition appears inside the US edition and the photo inside of the Japanese edition appears on the back of the US edition.) The CD comes with an impressive sixteen-page booklet that includes lyrics for the first time (in English for the Monotremata CD, Japanese for the Alchemy release).

There is one significant difference between the two editions: Due to a communication gap regarding the DAT used for the American master, whose titles were in Japanese, the Monotremata release's running order differs somewhat from the printed booklet. See below:

US booklet track listing:
1. First love
2. a series of Water Mind
~ Rubens and the Cathedral
3. Voyage
4. ADIOS in those days
5. Space Conquest
6. Fate

US edition, actual running order:
1. First Love
2. Space Conquest
3. a series of Water Mind
~Rubens and the Cathedral
4. ADIOS in those days
5. Voyage
6. Fate

In addition, "Fate" fades out on the Japanese version but not on the US version. The running order and fadeout will be corrected on subsequent pressings, making this a collector's album of sorts.
